Lovely! Even here, I’m already looking forward to the return of bulb blooms. The foliage of Sparaxis and Freesia is already up and even that of the Dutch Iris and anemones is getting started.

Do you have a variety of all colours of flowers in your garden, Eliza? I’m always trying to colour coordinate my plants, yet you seem to have every colour there is, and all so beautiful too.
I generally buy a plant because I like the way it looks, with a vague idea where I’ll plant it. I wouldn’t say I have an overall plan that I follow other than shade, sun requirements. 30 years ago, I filled notebooks with garden plans, but nature is not static, the gardens evolve, so very little remains of the original. A rather rambling answer. Did I answer your question? 😉

Great idea to collect these images into a slideshow Eliza. I don’t grow roses except for one passalong, but your New Dawn rose is tempting. Nice to see the vases too. This was a fun week.
Thank you, Susie. It was a lot of fun. ‘New Dawn’ is the only rose I’ve ever bought and grown, as I am not fond of thorny things. When it blooms, it is worth it. David Austin roses still tempt me though.
