Love these pops of bright color, Eliza, on what has been a gray and dreary day where I live.

  2. jillslawit says:

What a welcome splash of colour.

  3. Alice says:

Seeing more…Hibiscus stamens are so interesting & colorful with the red part on the end. I had a flower on mine last week, pretty sure it’s the same color!

    • Eliza Waters says:

Probably is, 😉 I imagine they are shipped by the dozens for planting out as annuals. This was gifted by my SIL, who didn’t want it at the end of the season. It’s bloomed ever since, lucky me. 🙂

  4. I always like the stamens on the hibiscus.

  5. Jewels says:

Oh! So lovely and bright, Eliza!

  6. Anne says:

Funnily enough I was considering photographing a close up of a large pink hibiscus in my garden today, but the sun was too hot! Yours is a beautiful colour.

  7. Treah Pichette says:

    Beautiful! Such a rich color……

  8. Almost thought it was summer!

  9. What a beauty! That color is mouthwatering.

  10. Jet Eliot says:

You captured beautifully this outstanding flower species, Eliza. Hibiscus are such bold statements in the garden, and this one with it’s bright color is double-bold. I especially like those last two photos with the veins.

    Gorgeous macros Eliza! 🧡 xxx

  12. Murtagh's Meadow says:

I really like the detail of the first very close up shot and what a lovely colour too:)

  13. dawnbirdau says:

What a glorious colour Eliza. A lovely splash of colour in a garden.

  14. Vicki says:

Thank goodness for lovely bright flowers with the snow-covered backdrop. Those golden Hibiscus are enough to brighten any dreary day 🙂

I’ve never seen that shade of yellow in a Hibiscus flower before, only pale lemon-coloured ones.

  15. Cindy says:

When I look at these close ups and consider every exquisite detail, I cannot help but see the hand of our Creator. What an amazing, amazing world we live in..what a reminder to take a minute, turn off all the blah blah blah and look closely – real close – at the stunning intricacies we sometimes overlook. SO BEAUTIFUL!! Thanks for these pictures! 😃

  16. M.B. Henry says:

  18. Eliza Ayres says:

Reblogged this on Blue Dragon Journal.

  19. These are absolutely gorgeous, Eliza! The colour is so vibrant, and the details you have captured are very fine indeed!

  20. Gorgeous captures, Eliza!

  21. naturebackin says:

Magnificent. As hibiscus grow outdoors here I had not been aware that they can be grown as indoor plants – and in the winter too?

  22. spanishwoods says:

These images are beautiful. That color!

  23. Kris Peterson says:

Beautiful, Eliza. I haven’t been able to grow Hibiscus outside, much less inside! Happy Valentine’s Day!

  24. Beautiful nature photography! I’m a new fan. Looking forward to view more of your excellent photos.

  26. Lovely captures of a hibiscus, Eliza. 😊

  27. shoreacres says:

I’ve never seen that color in a hibiscus before, and it’s scrumptious. We’ve been quite gray and dreary here on the Texas coast, too, and a splash of color like this is just the ticket!

  28. Robin says:

Beautiful images, Eliza. Love the warmth of the color. 🙂

  29. Gorgeous! I don’ recall ever seeing an orange hibiscus before now.

  30. Our Hibisci (?) are just plain old red…Lady Baltimore…and these are so differently rich in color. Unfortunately the foliage is always being nibbles so the plant itself is disappointing but not so the flowers. One year we had a cool katydid yumming on some of the pollen.

I like that you shared the backs of the flowers. They don’t get their due and often are almost as striking as the fronts. Such a lovely shade of orange and very nice looks at the flower.

  31. That beautiful bright colour make me think if summer! Thank you for sharing Eliza!

  32. susurrus says:

What a beautiful, uplifting colour. I have been half-waiting for a rain storm to arrive and it is finally here, which seems strange after bathing in these sunny pictures.

  33. Maria says:

Hibiscus are a favorite of mine. Beautiful!

  34. Laura Denise says:

Lovely images! I especially like the one in which it looks like Hibiscus is longingly looking out the window, waiting for spring… ❤

  35. TCast says:

I like that super macro photo. You can see all the fine yexture.
