Love these pops of bright color, Eliza, on what has been a gray and dreary day where I live.
Thank you, Mike. You might have noted there is snow in the background. Blooming plants help me weather the winter inside. It would be quite dull without them!

Seeing more…Hibiscus stamens are so interesting & colorful with the red part on the end. I had a flower on mine last week, pretty sure it’s the same color!
Probably is, 😉 I imagine they are shipped by the dozens for planting out as annuals. This was gifted by my SIL, who didn’t want it at the end of the season. It’s bloomed ever since, lucky me. 🙂
I always like the stamens on the hibiscus.
They make me think of little red-headed aliens, lol!

Funnily enough I was considering photographing a close up of a large pink hibiscus in my garden today, but the sun was too hot! Yours is a beautiful colour.

It’s cooling down a bit. Home overnight then headed out again. Rest of month up north to warmer weather. It’s been a busy month!

I’ve never seen that shade of yellow in a Hibiscus flower before, only pale lemon-coloured ones.

Magnificent. As hibiscus grow outdoors here I had not been aware that they can be grown as indoor plants – and in the winter too?
Thanks, Carol. Yes, sold as an summer annual here, it does well when brought in and has flowered regularly since fall (it loves fish fertilizer!).

I’ve never seen that color in a hibiscus before, and it’s scrumptious. We’ve been quite gray and dreary here on the Texas coast, too, and a splash of color like this is just the ticket!
Thank you – the new hybrids have so many more colors and these are ‘miniatures’ – they stay small and don’t get that big. Wonders!

Our Hibisci (?) are just plain old red…Lady Baltimore…and these are so differently rich in color. Unfortunately the foliage is always being nibbles so the plant itself is disappointing but not so the flowers. One year we had a cool katydid yumming on some of the pollen.
I like that you shared the backs of the flowers. They don’t get their due and often are almost as striking as the fronts. Such a lovely shade of orange and very nice looks at the flower.
