  3. Karen Lang says:

Heat wave here Eliza! I will send some warmth 🙂

  4. cindy knoke says:

    Walking in a winter wonderland!

  5. Mike Powell says:

Your beautiful photo, Eliza, brings to minds these words of Robert Frost that I learned as a child in New England:

“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.”

  6. Anne says:

A world transformed. I enjoy Mike Powell’s contribution too: “And miles to go before I sleep.”

    • Eliza Waters says:

Yes, amazing what a difference a day makes. We’ve been snowshoeing our trails– breaking trails is hard work so the ‘miles to go before I sleep’ is very apt!

  7. Mayra says:

Beautiful picture, Eliza! Perfect way to get in the holiday spirit!😊 Be safe out there!

  8. Murtagh's Meadow says:

    It certainly looks pretty

  9. No words are needed. I couldn’t manage to go anywhere and will enjoy vicariously through your image. 🙂

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thanks, Steve. We’ve been trying to break trails around the property, but boy, snowshoeing is such a workout! This was taken from the road, much easier! 😉

  10. Vicki says:

Absolutely gorgeous. Nothing like a winter wonderland at this time of year.

  11. Lovely, but so glad it’s you and not us. Enjoy!

Hopefully the beauty is some compensation for it being so chillingly cold! Sending warm thoughts from our summer.

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Carol. So long as the temps stay above 18F, I’m okay with the cold. We get heated from shoveling and snowshoeing, so the cool is actually welcome. As long as we keep moving, we’re good. 😉

  14. Alice says:

❄️❄️❄️❄️ The ‘silver lining’ to winter.❄️❄️❄️❄️

  15. As they might say in “Game of Thrones,” winter is here.

  16. Tranature - quiet moments in nature says:

A beautiful Winter wonderland Eliza, hope you are all keeping warm! 🤗💖 xxx

  17. I so agree, a winter wonderland, how beautiful! ❤

  18. Winter came way too early this year. I has been quite cold in November and December isn’t starting a lot warmer in Montreal. Nice pics though… (Suzanne)

  19. Joanna says:

Beautiful! 🙂 I was wondering if you got hit by this storm too. How much did you get? We got another 10 inches or so, but I heard that somewhere in VT they were supposed to get 2 or 3 feet! 😮

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Joanna! Winter has arrived with 18″ of snow, and the gardens are snug under their blanket. Unless the temps rise dramatically, we’re snowy white until March. I did hear that parts of NH got 3′ – so glad to have half that and that it wasn’t too wet nor heavy.

  20. Stunningly beautiful! We have had some extremely hot Summer days here in South Africa, your image is so refreshing!

  21. Kris P says:

You sure do snow beautiful out that way!

    • Eliza Waters says:

I must admit that we do enjoy the beauty of a snowy world (once the snow removal is taken care of!). Wren has been loving her snow baths rolling in the snow (the only kind she likes)!

  22. You have some snow now!! So pretty 🙂

  23. Beautiful but must make for a long winter?

  24. Widdershins says:

  26. nutsfortreasure says:

We just received over 20 inches with more to come so pretty to look at but back breaking to move it all.

  27. Karen says:

    How beautiful is snow Eliza.

  28. Everything looks so beautiful!🙂 Love the photo and wish you could have shared some of the snow with us!🙂

  29. Cathy says:

Your scenery with snow is like a Christmas card Eliza! Looks like it was quite a lot too. Stay cosy!

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Cathy! It was a lot for our first storm of the season. It may have been close to what we got all last winter. Let’s hope it isn’t a bad omen! 😉

  30. Beautiful image Eliza! Put a red bow on the tree & You’ve got your Christmas card image!

  31. ladyfi says:
