Jack Frost is quite the artist, and you quite the photographer! 🙂 We have a beautiful winter wonderland this morning after yesterday’s freezing rain and additional 6 inches of wet snow!

    Such interesting veins, all frosted.

    Autumn meets winter.

Icing on your fall season. We’re impatiently waiting for the first promised rain of the season at the moment. Mother Nature has spit at us periodically since late yesterday afternoon but my personal weather station has yet to register any measurable precipitation.

Your eye for garden beauty, Eliza, it never ends, even when summer does. So lovely, thank you.

  19. naturebackin says:

This is a striking and evocative image, and helps me appreciate how your low temps are starting to bite.

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Carol. It has been getting a bit colder every day. I dread the six weeks or so starting at year end where the temps never exceed freezing. Ugh, it gets old!

      • naturebackin says:

Sending you warm thoughts! I still can’t get my head around such cold temps for such an extended period of time. Hopefully you have some good books to read!

      • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Carol. I embrace the quiet time with no outside demands on my time, but I miss the freedom to go outside for long periods of time. Walks are short and brisk!

That scene is almost scary. Memorable though, those troubled blues.

  21. Those curled leaves with their frost are such a great autumnal sight. Nice shot, Eliza.

  22. Love the way the leaves are curled. Autumn has pretty much gone here, to be replace with lots and lots and lots of rain.

  23. Beautiful! I love the colors and the detail !

  24. jillslawit says:

Brrr, crisp and frosty, this says it all.

  25. Love this curly leaf close-up!
