Beautiful. I love a clear blue summer sky and think beaver ponds are super interesting. Lucky to have it so close.
Thank you, Frank. This pond is close to the road, and quite lovely. Beavers are great engineers and this one can get so built up that it is higher than the road, which puts them at odds with the road crew. When dams break, it causes a lot of damage. It has happened twice in 30 years and the resultant flood is pretty scary, knocking out everything in its path.
