First Vase of Spring

IMG_1822At last, the earth is beginning to awaken here in New England and the spring bulbs are cheering us with their happy flowers. All are miniatures, so it is a small vase, my first vase of the year!spring arrangement

The daffodil buds are Narcissus ‘Jetfire,’ accompanying light-blue Striped Squill (Puschkinia scilloides), Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis), and a purple Crocus (self-sown) plucked from the lawn, with a few sprigs of evergreen Wooly Speedwell (Veronica incana) to finish.

So so beautiful! If you published a book with photos of your vases and flowers, I would buy it! I just bought a book called, A Tree in the House by Annabelle Hickson and it is so lovely. Let me know if you ever decide to publish a volume with your images, I’ll be your first customer.
