Yeah, it's work, but it's less work than grass and far more interesting.

What a great angle you took of this plant. The light shows up the interesting detail of the pod perfectly.
Thank you, Vicky. These pods have fascinated me since I was a child when I pretended they were fairies. 🙂
Such sharp detail and perfect light.
Thank you, Sandy. 🙂
My pleasure.
Very nice photo artistically and with all the technical boxes checked.
Thanks, David, much appreciated!
Talented, nice lady.
Thank you, Cindy! 🙂
Terrific shot Eliza!! Wind dispersal so beautifully captured.
Thank you very much, Liz! It is windy today and they are flying away madly!
Simply beautiful, Eliza…
Thank you very much!
Marvellous composition and lighting
Thank you, Derrick.
Wow! Great capture 👏
Thank you, Karen!
Lots of plant potential for Monarch Babies!!
Yes, indeed, go forth and multiply!
One of the cycles…nature in its simple and profound beauty. You have an eye for great beauty.
Thank you kindly, Carrie. ❤
Very well captured! I love it.
Many thanks, Hien!
Lovely!
Thank you, Julie!
Enchanting! Fairy Godmothers getting ready to fly away!
Yes! 🙂 Thanks, Laurie.
Beautiful details Eliza. Makes me want to go outside and experiment with my camera. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂
Thank you, Maria. Glad to inspire!
It’s so intricate! Like a bird!
Yes, I see it, too. Thanks, Ali!
Exquisite picture!! No other words fit.
Thank you very much!
How beautiful, and the light is just perfect.
Thank you, Karina. The pods are yet another lovely aspect of fall.
Seed pods can be as beautiful as the flowers are are often over looked!
Agreed!
Very Nice Eliza! They are fun to photograph!
Thank you, Reed!
Look at that light! 😀
🙂 Thank you.
A favourite of mine, summer or fall. Fine detail!
Thank you, Belinda!
Such a beautiful photo Eliza. It captures the light and each seed that can bring hope for next year. 💛
Thank you, Val. That is a beautiful thought. 🙂
The only kind of “snow” I like to see fly now (;
I wouldn’t mind if we just skipped the snow altogether. 🙂
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Amazing how time flies!
Yes, end of the season already. The wheel keeps turning!
Love the light and softness!
Thank you!
Very nice! I was looking at some milkweed pods yesterday along the road and thinking what a lovely close-up subject they make. I was there to do a landscape and didn’t have my macro lens with me but perhaps I’ll go back and capture them before they ‘fly away’!
Thank you, Denise! They really are delightful, more exciting than dandelions. 😉
Ahhh so thats what those are called! Laurel Lakes in my neighborhood is filled with these and the white fluffy stuff is super silky. Beautiful pic! Thanks for the information🙂
Thanks, Dev. The silk has been used as a substitute for goose down, but it hasn’t been a popular trend. It’s wonderful to watch the seeds fly away on the autumn breeze like little fairies. 🙂
Oh wow….very cool! Yep I enjoy watching them blow away in the wind. 😉
Milkweed pods are one of the glories of nature that never stops amazing. Your photo is a perfect tribute to the astounding beauty of milkweed, Eliza.
Thank you so much, Jet. ❤
