    Beautiful fall photos Eliza!

  4. naturebackin says:

The contrast with the green grass and the blue sky enhances the warm colours of the leaves beautifully. Although ushering in winter this is a gorgeous season.

  5. Anne says:

Beautiful contrasts in colour! I can imagine the air smelling crisp and clean. Lovely photographs.

  6. Gosh autumn arrives already! Beautiful shots Eliza.

  7. FANTASTIC ELIZA AND THANKS FOR SHARING, CHINA

  8. susurrus says:

Beautiful. Who could keep their eyes on the ground when overhead there are autumn maple leaves against a blue sky?

  9. Alice Pratt says:

    ….a crispy looking day…..

  10. Great New England color, and I love the header shot. 🙂 38° this morning. 🙂

Thanks, Judy. We’ve had several nights of light frost, nipping here and there. The warmth of the saturated ground I think is keeping it not so cold. It won’t last forever, then it’ll really freeze. I imagine the frost heaves come spring will be huge if it doesn’t dry out a bit.

  11. Joanna says:

Glorious colors! Our trees are nearly bare now.

  12. Oh, beautiful! October is a glory of a month.

  13. Kathy Sturr says:

You have reigned in the glory of Autumn! Love the white pumpkins, too.

  14. Peter Herpst says:

Oh, that beautiful blue sky – Glorious with the foliage.

  15. Glorious colors, Eliza!! Those colors are only sporadic here but I’m trying to find them. LOL

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Amy. Same here, brown leaf fungus runs rampant, ruining the chance for beautiful sweeps of fall foliage. A sad state of affairs.

      • We received a dusting of snow here last night and at this point I’m not sure if the leaves will just fall or if we will still get a brilliant display. It’s been tough this year! So sorry to hear your dilemma!

  16. Lovely, a lot to enjoy this time of year!

  17. Murtagh's Meadow says:

    Beautiful autumn colours

  18. Kris P says:

Orange and bright blue – one of the best color combinations!

  19. So colorful, the nature is …

It’s hard to see such seasonal changes here in the tropics…

Just after the monsoon rains, we could see all shades of green, though 🙂

  20. Beautiful!🙂 Love the fall colors against the gorgeous sky. We had blue skies today and the leaves have really been falling.

  21. ladyfi says:

So lovely! Autumn is the best time of year.

  22. And this is why we love fall!

  23. Cathy says:

What wonderful colours you are enjoying Eliza! Long may they last! 🙂

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Cathy! It is a pity that the season is so short. The maples are about done and we’re down to the less spectacular oaks, beech and poplar. I’m not ready to say goodbye to those lovely leaves!

  24. smilecalm says:

  25. Ali Grimshaw says:

I love the light shining through the vibrant colored leaves of Fall.
