‘Wren Real Estate’….I wonder who gnawed at the front entrance?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Being an older box moved from the woods, I suspect it was squirrels. I was hoping for bluebirds in the backyard, but wrens adopted it instead.

Lovely photo of a sassy little bird. Is it residing in the nesting box or just visiting?

  16. Kathy Sturr says:

I have a wren house that’s very special to me. It was designed by my grandfather and built by my father. He built one for each of us kids. This year it is housing wrens and I’ve learned to always look when they start to chatter as one day one of the neighbor’s cats was approaching fast! Kathy to the rescue ha ha ha. In all the years it has hung in the garden, it has been occupied only by wasps. This year, a parting gift.

  17. Kathy Sturr says:

Oh my gosh, I didn’t even say what a great photo this is Eliza! Wren personality captured! And the cutest little house!
