   I did not recognize that. We have only the Fagus sylvatica cultivars here. There is no native beech.

    Beautiful – it looks like fall (not here – we’re still firmly in the late summer camp, though the trees have started to turn now. Just in time for the temps to get back to summer-like!).

        The heat just dried up most of it up in the mountains, it’s mostly brown. Now that it’s cooler maybe the valleys stand a chance.

      On rare days when the humidity is low, the sky is so intense a blue. I love the contrast against gold and red leaves, truly electric!

        Never would have guessed this effect is related to humidity. Looks like a hyper-saturated HDR image. Nope, just dry air!

        At least with this camera, I rarely saturate in editing, mostly adjusting light and sharpening. This is really what it looks like!
