I did not recognize that. We have only the Fagus sylvatica cultivars here. There is no native beech.
What a pity. It is a stately, graceful tree with a fine gray trunk, one of my favorites.
Oh my goodness how lovely! 💖🍁💖🍁💖🍁. And that GORGEOUS blue sky! Perfect backdrop! 😊
Thank you, Trini! The beauty of that walk still lingers in my mind. 🙂

So vibrant ! Beautiful 🍁
Thank you, Karen. 🙂 Autumn’s best look.
That blue sky really shows the mellowing autumn.
Thank you, Liz.
That’s what I call a blue sky!
The air and sky was perfect that day – thanks, Denzil!
Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Days like these, you know that Autumn is the best season of the year!
It really is. Thanks so much!
What an amazing blue, the sky is – perfect for Sunday morning.
Thank you, Christina. The sky in autumn can be so blue.
So blue! And to think that the stars are shining, above!
Now there’s a thought I hadn’t thought before. Thanks, Alice!
Newer friends…different thoughts…’twinkle, twinkle’
🙂
Beautiful Beech and the sky is perfect!
Thank you, Sally. It was such a gorgeous day!
Dang, if that don’t say it all!
😀 Thanks, Kathy!
Every day, you remind us of how much we are given. 🙂
xoxo ❤ 🙂
Such a brilliant blue sky! Lovely Eliza….
Thank you, Julie! Low humidity makes that happen, mostly in fall and winter around here, so beautiful.
Wonderful blue, almost Maya blue, and snappy leaves.
Thank you, Laurie. The sun was hitting the leaves just right. Fall sure is gorgeous!
Beautiful. What light!
Wow, so blue and the leaves aren’t bad either!
Thank you, Allison. What a gorgeous day that was!
You did a wonderful job “accenting” that glorious blue sky, Eliza!
🙂 Thank you, Kris. I do like those accents. 😉
Beautiful – it looks like fall (not here – we’re still firmly in the late summer camp, though the trees have started to turn now. Just in time for the temps to get back to summer-like!).
Thank you, Sarah. This has been the oddest year of weather I can ever remember.
I’m just waiting for the horrible, horrible winter to arrive. With our late warm weather, I can’t imagine we’re going to escape without a horrible winter.
Huh, never thought of you as a pessimist! I just wish for a ‘normal’ winter… neither too mild nor too fierce. Just righhhhtttt! 😉
My ideal: a white Christmas, and then I travel to warm places throughout January and February.
Hear, hear! I’ve had that dream for years, though only once managed it when I was 20 and carefree. 😉
I’m glad you’re enjoying some perfect weather, here just the fact it rained is enough to thrill me! Love that sky.
Thank you, Frank. The weather has been nice, rain passing through tonight with a cool front. Glad you got some rain. How’s your foliage coming along? Ours has been disappointing.
The heat just dried up most of it up in the mountains, it’s mostly brown. Now that it’s cooler maybe the valleys stand a chance.
Lovely Eliza. Such a beautiful season. Then winter…beautiful too, but I never seems to be ready. Fall helps.
Thank you, Mary. Fall does help ease us into winter. The weather has been quite mild lately. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. 😉
So pretty!
Thank you!
The sky & leaves are almost electric!
On rare days when the humidity is low, the sky is so intense a blue. I love the contrast against gold and red leaves, truly electric!
Never would have guessed this effect is related to humidity. Looks like a hyper-saturated HDR image. Nope, just dry air!
At least with this camera, I rarely saturate in editing, mostly adjusting light and sharpening. This is really what it looks like!
The leaves pop against the blue sky ~ Awesome photo, Eliza 🙂
Thank you, Christy!
