I hope your hummers do that little air dance around your head like we used to see in the Disney cartoons.

I really need to try one of the cupheas, the flowers all have such a unique design! So many plants, so little time lol

    • Eliza Waters says:

IKR? ๐Ÿ™‚ This one is highly recommendedโ€“ a magnet for hummers with multiple visits per hour (we don’t have that many birds, so I’m assuming it is the same fellow). Astounding that the nectar keeps flowing for him!

  3. Alice Pratt says:

Funny, how life goes! I just saw several of those at the nursery Friday morning…after I’d made my purchases. Am not familiar with that plant….so today I’ll go back and buy one! Keeping Hummingbirds happy and well fed is important! Thanks, Eliza!

Cool plant, nice shot of it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I like how the details are apparent in this image. Makes us all want to look closer at life around us.

  7. Christy B says:

Do you think hummingbirds like it because of the sweet taste? Great photo ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thanks, Christy. I surmise the flowers have reservoirs of sweet nectar (that appear to refill, as the birds visit repeatedly). Maybe I should dissect one!

  8. Robin says:

I have never seen one of these before. It’s beautiful, and I love how you captured the details of it. I’ll have to look for one next year so I can treat our hummingbirds. ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Widdershins says:

Pointing the way … thar be dragons that-a-way. ๐Ÿ˜€

  10. Brenda says:

I am definitely getting some of these next year.

  11. Laurie Graves says:

Lovely and elegant, just like those little whirring beauties that visit them.

  12. Love the green edges!

  13. Kathy Sturr says:

Wonderful! Bet the hummingbirds love you!

Cigar plant: I’ll try to plant these. Hummingbirds do come, but they don’t have anything except my hummingbird feeder.
