The grass is greening up and the perennials are growing in my mixed bed in the back yard. The giant alliums are leaping out of the ground, while the daylilies are not far behind. Lamb’s ears, iris, veronica and astilbe are making their presence known, promising good things to come. ‘Ice Follies’ narcissus and clumps of past-bloom bloodroot are in the woods beyond. For comparison, my last view was posted March 21. What a difference a month can make!
Thanks to Cathy at Words and Herbs for hosting The Tuesday View, a meme showing the view of one or more of our gardens over the course of a growing season.
Under that cover of snow, Mother Nature was planning ahead!
It our annual miracle!
Ah! the dance begins again. Once things start they race ahead. Lovely to see green instead of white.
Yes, I totally agree. The white was getting on my nerves. 😉
Looks a lot like central Maine. But the green is so encouraging. And, yes, what a difference a month makes!
Woohoo! Spring comes to New England at last. 🙂
Look a lot like NH too. 🙂
Moving along… At this rate your MG sale plants will be sizable!
A new beginning!
It certainly is. I’ve moved and divided quite a bit, so hopefully, it’ll have a different look this year.
Wow, everything gets going so quickly as soon as it warms up a bit! 🙂
It has been about 10-20 degrees above normal since that last snowfall and everything is loving it. I forget how green the grass grows in spring!
Here we go! This is what we wait for all winter long:-)
Ha! thanks, Stephanie – you flatter me! 🙂
Beautiful captures Eliza 🍀🌺
Thank you, Karen. Our spring to your autumn. 🙂
So nice to see the greening of your garden. I always look forward to the Tuesday View😊
Thanks so much, Belinda, that’s kind of you to say!
I like April’s view much better!!! I forgot that I had planted a boatload of alliums last fall. I love when I surprise myself. Ha ha.
Ha, I do the same, forgetting where I put things. The only downside is I sometimes mistakenly dig things up… oops, uh-oh!
I am missing so many posts due to time change. Can’t wait to see this in another month!
We’ve had summery temps this week and the growth is phenomenal. It’s doubled since the photo was taken!
Oh , what lovely green ! Such a joy when the perennials reappear . There will be arm loads of flowers one day soon 😊
I hope so! 🙂
Only 30 days between those 2 last photos. Striking!
The transformation is amazing. And with the past few summery days, everything has doubled in size. Miraculous!
It’s what we’re seeing here too, and it’s quite amazing. Every one of our trees are putting on an abundance (more than last year) of fruit. You should see the mango & the avocado. I don’t know how they will bear the weight.
As tough as it would be to do, many fruit trees need to be culled of excess fruit to avoid breakage. You choose the healthiest and distribute them throughout the branch. The rest goes to compost!
We are a little further along in greening up. Interesting the difference between the two pictures. I am always so anxious but it passes too quickly!!!!
We’re at the bursting stage – I love that spring green!
