“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Lao Tzu
“The more things change, the more they stay the same.” – Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr
Those are beautiful photos, Eliza. Well, the subject matter, that is.
Absolutely stunning.
And I think I see me some 70’s fashion. 🙂
Yup, I’m still around. I haven’t evaporated entirely.
Good to hear from you Michael. I have wondered about you from time to time! Thanks for your kind comments– timing is mid-60s, late 70s, mid-90s and present day. Glad you stopped by. Don’t be a stranger. 🙂
I agree with Michael. I could tell you were a beautiful person by the way you write and now your photos confirm that you are and have always been gorgeous.
Gosh, I’m blushing! Thanks, Gillian. 🙂
I agree!!
Thank you, Kim! 🙂
You’ll always be a beautiful soul Eliza. For myself I have found multiple advantages in being born homely. For one, the older i get the more people catch up with me!
😀 Thanks, Frank!
How wonderful to see this!! You kept your beauty and childlike wonder the whole time!
It’s funny, but I relate most to the person I was in the first photo. 😉 Thanks, Mary.
Beautiful photographs, beautiful quotes
Thank you!
Beautiful then and beautiful now.
Thank you so much for your kind response, Sylvia. 🙂
Hello you! Beautiful 😊
Many thanks, Val!
Gorgeous you! At all ages. Great response to the challenge.
Many thanks, Lisa. 🙂
I absolutely love this, Eliza. 🙂 As we age, the people around us look and treat us like we’ve been old our entire life when in fact we’ve had many different chapters. I’ve joked a couple of times, seniors should sometimes wear sandwich boards around our necks with younger photos and a resume – people would be shocked at the lives we’ve lead. Love your photos and this post made my day. 🙂
Thanks, Judy. Glad you liked it. We’re still kids at heart, aren’t we? 😉
Beautiful Eliza, at every age! 🙂
Thanks so much, Robin! 😀
I am privileged to have known every one of these forms of you (& even younger!). Nice idea to put them all on one page.
Quite a blessed life, I must say. Thanks for being part of it!
When we do not resist change, beauty is always within and around us. Such gorgeous photos Eliza, you are beautiful. 🙂
(Blushing) Thanks so much, Karen. (It took courage for me to post these!)
Liz – beautiful at all ages and stages! Such a treat to know you and enjoy your light!
🙂 Thanks so much for that, Bettie! ❤
Loved this post Eliza. I love the lesson that we are good enough as is.
Lao Tzu knew the truth of things. Many thanks, Julie!
Most beautiful photos!
Thank you!
Beauty, beauty, beauty, beauty!!
Thank you, runs in the family! 😉
Lol!
What a lovely series. Your friendly kind smile invites one in.
Thank you, Jim and Melanie!
Charming, and sweet, and lovely, and strong. Now I’m not sure which of these happens to caption which photo? Actually, any combination will do. Thanks so much for sharing these with us, Eliza.
Thank you for all those lovely adjectives. 🙂 I think I will put them on my mirror to remind myself during those times I forget. 😉
⭐
🙂
Fabulous! Love this post, it’s truly wonderful. beautiful photographs:)

So gorgeous and full of grace!
Many thanks, Fi! 🙂
Everyone has said the same thing, but I must say it again Eliza – simply beautiful! Keep smiling that lovely smile of yours! 😉
Thank you so much, Cathy. I will endeavor to keep on smiling!
Lovely, lovely! For some reason seeing the passage of time in your photos brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you, Laurie. I know what you mean, it must be our age. 🙂 We realize how much has passed before, what we’ve done and overcome, who we were and still are. I look back at that little girl and just sigh.
Sniff, sniff.
I recognize the eyes and the smile. So beautiful… and emotional. 🙂
Thank you, Ana! 🙂
You are beautiful inside and out!
Aw, thanks so much, Kathy!
What a beautiful face – then and now! So fun to see these, Eliza! 🙂
Thank you, Julie! 🙂
Very nice storyline; I’m just too shy to do it.
I know what you mean. I almost didn’t post it, but then I thought, “What the heck, why not?” 😀 It’s kind of liberating.
What I meant to say was “timeline” I guess. I liked it; thanks for sharing!! Maybe one day I’ll have the nerve to post one like yours.
Beautiful words and pictures. You beauty!
Thanks so much, Lita!
What a great response to the change theme. From a cute young girl to a beautiful lady 🙂
Thank you so much, Ann. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos, Eliza. True beauty is eternal. How happy you look in them all! ❤
Thanks, E. The outside changes, the inner is still me! 😉
Exactly. That is so important to remember when dealing with older friends and family. What a cruel trick our bodies play on us over time….

So beautiful inside & out!! I absolutely love your beautiful smile in that last picture! So much light within & surrounding you. ❤
😀 And those are great quotes!
Thanks so much, Kim. 🙂
love seeing your history in photos!
Thank you, Ellen. It is something to see them all together – kind of like “This is your life” remember that show? 😉
Boy, this is simply a beautiful post ~ how change is so necessary and perfect in life. I am sure the young you would be so proud of the you of today 🙂
How sweet of you! Thanks so much. 🙂
Ahh….Time has such a wonderful way of growing beauty!
Thank you for that wonderful compliment!
I can see the little girl in your smile Eliza… soooo beautiful.
Aw, thank you, Storm. She’s in there alright.;-)
🙂
You were, and still are, so beautiful, Eliza! And your facial beauty travels right through to your soul. Changes in our features as the years go by are inevitable, but isn’t it strange how we don’t see those changes in ourselves, until we look through old photos?
Thank you, Joanne. Yes, I still feel like the same person inside, hopefully just a bit more wise! 😉
BEAUTIFUL at every age! You are an inspiration. Now that I am here in Colorado where people are more natural, I decided to stop coloring my hair!
Good for you… beauty is within!
Through the years, more and more amazingly beautiful😊
Aw, thank you so much for that, Kim. We have to cultivate our inner beauty more as we age… it comes through the eyes and flows from the heart. ❤
It does indeed and I hope to age as gracefully, I enjoyed your post so very much 🙂
