At Last

IMG_4753 IMG_4759At last, there are flowers in my garden! While large patches of snow remain all over the yard, the sunny front bed offers up its gift of snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis)ย in the spring sunshine. I’ve been waiting all winter for this moment…the gardening year has begun!IMG_4758

Wahoowa!! Snowdrops! So glad you’re seeing them.

  3. I LOVE snowdrops – since I was 3 years old, I remember them (when we lived in Maryland). We don’t have them in NM. I guess the soil just doesn’t support them. Thanks for the treasured memory Eliza!

More Miracles, Eliza! At first glance I thought these were Crocuses, but then I realized they are snowdrops. I just came in from outside attempting to photograph budding trees, but between the wind and the COLD, I gave up. Yes, it has turned cold here AGAIN with snow in the forecast. I will keep my eyes on my flowers! (((HUGS))) Amy

Thank you, I’m hoping that when I get back most of the snow will be gone, at least from the sunny areas. The north side shadows will take a bit longer, but I feel a whole lot better seeing these cheerful snowdrops. ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. I’m envious. No sign of the scilla I planted.

Yes, the weather has been unusual all year, starting with the crazy winter. Snow in April is discouraging!
I know a lot of folks aren’t happy with the cool spring, but I am loving it. The spring bulbs prefer it and they last so much longer, giving me a chance to savor their beauty. Thanks for your visit and follow. Appreciate it!
